Since the last LIGNA, Efsen has been busy upgrading coating lines to UV LED with W-LED. We have upgrade existing lines and we have also installed several new lines with W-LED. Customers wanting to change to UV LED choose W-LED because of the highest energy savings with air-cooled, highest uptime in production, low reject and rework rate and finally because of only inline process documentation received by ICAD®, so that there is certainty for high quality products all the time.

During the LIGNA – from the 15th to 19th May 2023 – we will demonstrate one of the most important developments for the UV industry, our latest W-LED version 3, designed to fit all flat lines in the woodworking industry and benefitting customers with large energy savings for many years with easy maintenance and long lifetime.

W-LED version 3 has our proprietary ICAD® technology inside. ICAD gives you external feedback that everything is all right with your UV process. It simply measures the UV that gets to your product – during production.

ICAD® enables total control of the UV process during production and is therefore the missing link for intelligent UV lines. Self-controlling as well as compatible with Industry 4.0, ICAD® enables inline and automated power level adjustment for a uniform curing over the full width of the line. ICAD® offers the benefit of continuous monitoring during production. It increases quality, uptime and reduces the risk of producing waste. As an integrated part in our W-LED it saves energy and eliminates ozone and mercury. W-LED is optimized solution for the wood processing industry.
